Butterfield shares drop 10.1%

Butterfield Bank shares ended 20 cents lower at $1.79 on The Royal Gazette/BSX Index
The Royal Gazette/BSX Index plunged 86.52 points, or 6.36 per cent.
The Bank of Butterfield dropped 20 cents, or 10.1 per cent, to $1.79 after 17,431 shares sold.
The bank’s preference shares also fell, by $20, or 1.9 per cent, to $1,030 after 44 shares moved.
Telecoms firm KeyTech went up 25 cents, or 9.4 per cent, to $2.90.
The BSX Insurance Index ended the day up 2.04 points, or 0.12 per cent, at 1,655.90.
