Shares of insurance firm BF&M rose 51 cents to $20.50 on The Royal Gazette/BSX Index.

The move, equal to 2.6 per cent, came after 6,000 shares sold.

The Bank of Butterfield was unchanged at $25 after 207 shares changed hands. But the bank’s price on the New York Stock Exchange rose 22 cents, or 0.86 per cent, to $25.68.

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index closed up 3.9 points, or 0.24 per cent, at 1,638.43.

The BSX Insurance Index ended the day up 0.80 points, or 0.05 per cent, at 1,678.55.
