New name for KeyTech

Butterfield Bank shares improved on The Royal Gazette/BSX Index

Telecoms company KeyTech has changed its name to One Communications Limited, effective from today.

The change was announced in a statement by the Bermuda Stock Exchange, and reflects the recent rebranding of all services provided by KeyTech’s main operating subsidiaries in Bermuda — Logic Communications and Bermuda Digital Communications Ltd, both of which now trade as One Communications.

On The Royal Gazette/BSX Index, Bank of Butterfield shares went up $1.30 to $32.50. The increase, equal to 4.2 per cent, came after 9,421 shares moved.

The bank’s price on the New York Stock Exchange also rose, up 36 cent, or 1.12 per cent, to $32.51.

On the local exchange, utilities group Ascendant shed 10 cents, or 1.4 per cent, to $7.15 after 5,400 shares sold.

Insurance firm BF&M was unchanged at $20.75 after 900 shares changed hands.

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index closed up 57.50 points, or 3 per cent, at 1,974.68.

The BSX Insurance Index ended the day was up 0.80 points, or 0.04 per cent, at 1,827.37.
