Argus Group shares fell five cents, or 1.1 per cent, to $4.50 after 7,500 traded.

There was also trading of Butterfield Bank shares, with 1,000 changing hands, and Polaris Holding shares, where 5,000 were exchanged. Neither stock saw a change to its closing price.

On the New York Stock Exchange, Butterfield Bank’s shares improved by 32 cents, or 1 per cent, to close at $32.19.

The Royal Gazette/BSX closed down one point, or 0.05 per cent, at 1,957.57.

The BSX Insurance Index was also down, falling 7.85 points, or 0.42 per cent, to 1,858.9.
