Shares of Argus Group improved by 15 cents, or 3.3 per cent, to $4.70 after 10,300 traded on The Royal Gazette/BSX Index.

There was also trading in Ascendant Group, with 36,000 shares changing hands but with no change to the closing price. Butterfield Bank shares also traded, with 5,000 shares being exchanged, but also without change to the closing price.

On the New York Stock Exchange, Butterfield Bank’s shares were down 29 cents, or 0.88 per cent, at $32.80.

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index was up three points, or 0.15 per cent, at 1,984.5.

The BSX Insurance Index was down 5.31 points, or 0.28 per cent, at 1,859.41.
