The Bank of Butterfield shares went up 28 cents, or 0.85 per cent, to $33.30 on the New York Stock Exchange.

On The Royal Gazette/BSX Index, insurance company BF&M was unchanged at $21 after 5,250 shares changed hands.

Bermuda Press (Holdings) Ltd, the parent company of The Royal Gazette, was also unchanged at $8.50 after 500 shares sold.

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index closed unchanged at 2,041.35.

The BSX Insurance Index ended the day up 15.79 points, or 0.86 per cent, at 1,856.92.
