Butterfield Bank shares fell 1.4 per cent in Bermuda Stock Exchange trading today.

The bank closed on $34, down 50 cents on the day as 2,628 shares changed hands. Butterfield’s New York Stock Exchange-listed shares fell 57 cents to close on $34.73.

The only other domestic-board stock to trade was BF&M Ltd. The insurer closed unchanged on $21, as 2,300 shares were exchanged.

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index fell 22.49 points, or 1.08 per cent, to close on 2,056.76. Trading volume totalled 4,928 shares and turnover was $137,652.
