BAS shares up 10%

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index was up 7.67 points

Bermuda Aviation Services rose 20 cents to $2.20 on The Royal Gazette/BSX Index.

The increase, equal to 10 per cent, came after 12,400 shares traded.

The Bank of Butterfield went up 15 cents, or 0.4 per cent, to $34.25 after 2,050 shares sold.

The bank also went up on the New York Stock Exchange, gaining 37 cents, or 1.08 per cent, to $34.78.

On the local exchange all other trades showed no share price changes.

Utilities firm Ascendant remained at $8.89 after 14,041 shares moved, while insurance company BF&M was at $20.60 after 3,750 shares traded.

And financial services holding company Somers Ltd stood at $13.50 after 500 shares sold.

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index closed up 7.67 points, or 0.37 per cent, at 2,062.48.

The BSX Insurance Index ended the day up 3.39 points, or 0.18, per cent at 1,906.29.
