Argus shares fall 3.3% on BSX

Bank boost: Butterfield shares rose for a third successive trading day on the BSX

Shares of Argus Group Holdings Ltd fell 3.3 per cent in Bermuda Stock Exchange trading yesterday.

The insurer shed ten cents to close on $2.95 as 6,000 shares changed hands.

Butterfield Bank gained ground, climbing 25 cents, or 0.8 per cent, to close on $30, as 200 shares traded.

The bank’s US-listed shares edged two cents higher to close on $31.04 on the New York Stock Exchange.

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index added 9.24 points, or 0.45 per cent, to close on 2,075.74. BSX trading volume was 6,200 shares, while turnover totalled $23,900.

The BSX Insurance Index gained 0.51 of a point to close on 1,740.38.
