Bermuda Press shares fall 16.7%
Shares of Bermuda Press (Holdings) Ltd fell 16.7 per cent on light volume in Bermuda Stock Exchange trading.
BPHL, which owns The Royal Gazette, as well as commercial printing, real estate and retail interests, fell $1 to close on a 52-week low of $5, as 251 shares changed hands.
The US-listed shares of Butterfield Bank climbed 19 cents, or 0.71 per cent, to close on $26.79 on the New York Stock Exchange as 265,307 shares traded. Butterfield last traded at $25 on the BSX.
BPHL was the lone stock to trade on the BSX, as The Royal Gazette/BSX Index fell 1.3 points, or 0.07 per cent, to close on 1,846.35. For the week, the index climbed 1.03 per cent, driven largely by a 1.2 per cent rise for Butterfield Bank shares and a 36.4 per cent rise for Bermuda Aviation Services Ltd.
The BSX Insurance Index gained 13.63 points, or 0.93 per cent, to close on 1,482.66.
