Shares of Butterfield Bank fell $1, or 3.7 per cent, to $26 on The Royal Gazette/BSX Index, after 7,532 changed hands.On the New York Stock Exchange, the bank’s shares were down one cent, or 0.03 per cent, at $26.19.The Royal Gazette/BSX Index was down 44.97 points, or 2.35 per cent, at 1,867.71, while the BSX Insurance Index was down 11.76, or 0.81 per cent, at 1,436.09.
