BF&M shares gain 2.8% on BSX
Shares of BF&M Ltd gained 2.8 per cent in Bermuda Stock Exchange trading.
The insurer added 50 cents to close on $18.50 as 10,000 shares changed hands.
BF&M was the only domestic board stock to trade as The Royal Gazette/BSX Index gained 3.83 points, or 0.19 per cent, to close on 1,973.64.
Butterfield Bank’s US-listed shares fell six cents, or 0.23 per cent, to close on $25.97 on the New York Stock Exchange, as 313,726 shares changed hands, well above the average volume.
The bank had announced third-quarter net income of $30.5 million on Tuesday evening, down nearly $12 million from the corresponding quarter in 2019.
The BSX Insurance Index added 49.19 points, or 3.54 per cent, to close on 1,439.22.
