Argus Group shares drop 25.8%

Shares of Argus Group Holdings Ltd fell $1.03, or 25.8 per cent, to $2.97 after 6,000 traded on The Royal Gazette/BSX Index.
Butterfield Bank improved 89 cents, or 3.5 per cent, to $26.10 after 291 shares changed hands. On the New York Stock Exchange the bank's shares were up $1.17, or 4.42 per cent, at $27.63.
The Royal Gazette/BSX Index was up 19.44 points, or 1.04 per cent, at 1,890.72, while the BSX Insurance Index rose 10.48 points, or 0.78 per cent, to 1,449.7.
Separately, the Bermuda Stock Exchange halted trading of Ascendant Group Limited’s common shares due to the closure of the company’s share register on Wednesday. Closure of the register was announced on October 16.
