Butterfield shares jump 28.4%

Shares of Butterfield Bank jumped $7.41, or 28.4 per cent, to $33.51, after 3,679 traded on The Royal Gazette/BSX Index.
In New York, the bank’s shares were down 41 cents, or 1.22 per cent, at $33.33.
On the local exchange, shares of BF&M Ltd were up one cent, or 0.01 per cent, at $19 after 956 changed hands.
The Royal Gazette/BSX Index was up 366.52, or 20.76 per cent, at 2,131.92, while the BSX Insurance Index was up 34.91. or 2.19 per cent, at 1,631.63.
