BSX Index trades down for the week

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index finished the week 1.84 per cent lower

The RG/BSX Index fell 41.24 points (1.84 per cent) to 2,231.95 for the week, as Bank of N.T. Butterfield Ltd. closed down 50 cents (1.6 per cent) at $30.50 after a total of 6,154 of its shares were traded on the Bermuda Stock Exchange.

Also closing lower was BF&M Ltd., down $1.80 (8.2 per cent) at $20.20 on trading of 110 shares.

Other trading included Argus Group Holdings Ltd. which finished the week at $5.68, up a penny (0.2 per cent) on 16,000 shares.

Watlington Waterworks Ltd. was up $1.50 (5.3 per cent) to $30.00 after 100 shares changed hands.

There was no movement Friday with the BSX shutting early as a result of the island-wide power outage that began just before 3.30pm.

Meanwhile, on the New York Stock Exchange, the The Bank of N.T. Butterfield & Son Limited closed the day yesterday at eight cents higher (0.24 per cent) at $33.29.
