Butterfield shares jump $2

The RG/BSX Index climbed 107.26 (4.38 per cent) to 2,553.74, driven by a two-dollar rise (5.8 per cent) in Butterfield Bank, which finished at $36.50 at the close on volume of 4,308.
Also trading was Bermuda Aviation Services Ltd, which closed unchanged at $2.75 after 116 shares changed hands.
Butterfield, which announced annual profits of more than $200 million this week, fell back 52 cents (1.39 per cent) to $36.80 on the New York Stock Exchange.
The Royal Gazette/BSX Index was up 4.38 per cent in BSX trading
