The Royal Gazette/BSX Index was up 28.78 points
The Royal Gazette/BSX Index rose 28.78 points, or 0.75 per cent, to end the day at 3,858.35.
A total of 7,351 Butterfield Bank shares were traded on the Bermuda Stock Exchange, with the price rising 50 cents, or 0.8 per cent, closing at $60.
Allshores stopped at $27.10, price unchanged after 400 shares moved.
The turnover for the day was $451,900.
On the New York Stock Exchange, Butterfield fell $1.45, or 2.3 per cent, to close at $61.51 with a volume of 200,217 shares.
