Butterfield edges higher on BSX
Butterfield Bank’s shared edged 0.1 per cent higher on the Bermuda Stock Exchange today to close at $58.25. The bank gained five cents on the trading of 2,000 shares.
With Butterfield the only stock to trade, The Royal Gazette/BSX Index gained 2.88 points, or 0.08 per cent, to close at 3,756.52. BSX volume was 2,000 shares and turnover totalled $116,500.
Meanwhile, BSX-listed Watlington Waterworks said its board declared a dividend of 30 cents per share, payable on September 25, 2026, to shareholders of record at the close of business on September 11.
Insurer Allshores also announced that it repurchased 31,713 of its own shares in August. The insurer’s closing price on the BSX yesterday was $27.90.
On the New York Stock Exchange, Butterfield’s US-listed shares climbed 67 cents, or 1.14 per cent, to close on $59.58 on volume of 172,356 shares.
