Role: Manager, Pulp & Circumstance
There's so much to it! I schedule the staff and participate in hiring. I assist with the buying and maintain our inventory database. If a customer has an issue or concern I am always available to resolve it. I make sure that our two stores are clean, well merchandised and staffed. I am also the” techie” for our inventory and printing systems!
What is your job?
I love to change an unhappy customer into a customer who is thrilled with our service. I'm excited to help our invitation customers create something really unique.
What is your favourite part?
As a company of all women we all have do everything. I don't enjoy the warehouse work of trolleying and lifting heavy boxes. You wouldn't believe how heavy paper is!
What is your least favourite part?
It is definitely the creation and implementation of our Annual Xmas Customer Appreciation party. We start planning in late spring and all creative ideas are on the table. Then we select the product lines that we will highlight and the various ways we can say thank you to our loyal customers. It is loads of strategy and hard work which this year is going to be made easier by our new location in the Washington Lane. I can't tell you what we're doing this year but it will be amazing!
What is your most interesting experience at work?
I can't think of anything else I would be doing. I enjoy my job and I recognise that I am lucky to be in this senior position at a young age.
