Bermudian Clarke takes management role at Fairmont Southampton

Returning to hospitality: The Fairmont Southampton announced the appointment of Bermudian Charles Clarke to the post of assistant executive housekeeper

The Fairmont Southampton has announced the appointment of Bermudian Charles Clarke to the post of assistant executive housekeeper.“Charles is an exciting addition to the Fairmont Southampton leadership team,” said Nelda Simons, regional director for human resources. “To meet the demands of our guests and to maintain the standards that one comes to expect from a Fairmont hotel, we are committed to selecting, training and recognising Bermuda’s best. Charles Clarke possesses wide and extensive work experience and is making a career change, returning once again to the hospitality industry. We know that he will make a major contribution towards our continuing efforts to raise customer service levels and attract more visitors to Bermuda.”In his role as assistant executive house keeper, Mr Clarke will assist with the management and coordination of housekeeping operations in the guest rooms, public spaces and employee areas of The Fairmont Southampton.Mr Clarke earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Hotel Management from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore along with a Master of Arts Degree in Human Resources Development from Webster University.
