How do you measure success?

Success. How do you measure success? The whole concept of success has changed over the years to focus more on monetary and material measurements. This is unfortunate as subjective measurements bring many more people into the equation and allows many more to interpret what they do as successful. Think for a minute of all of the people it takes to make the world a better place for all of us, nurses in hospital, those who provide great service in retail and others whose work helps others. Many organisations exist based on volunteers and their efforts to help others and our communities. So let's revisit our definitions and recognise that success is a state of mind and not a measure. One always succeeds when they continue to try to make things happen and never give up moving forward with whatever they love to do!

“Six essential qualities that are the key to success: Sincerity, personal integrity, humility, courtesy, wisdom, charity.” Dr William Menninger.
