Roadside sobriety testing is set to resume next week in Hamilton Parish, Devonshire, Pembroke, Paget and Southampton.

A police spokesman said the checkpoints would be in place from Thursday to Sunday, as published in the Official Gazette on Thursday.

Police arrested eight people at sobriety checkpoints over the course of three nights last week.

Checkpoints will not be in place this weekend, but police have warned they will still be looking for impaired drivers.
