Five children injured in Paget crash
Seven people, including five children, were injured after two cars collided in Paget on Sunday.
A 34-year-old Southampton man was arrested on suspicion of impaired driving after being treated at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital.
The crash occurred on South Road shortly after 10pm near the junction with Southcote Road when the man's car, which was heading west, struck an eastbound vehicle.
The driver of the other car, a 35-year-old Smith's man, was recovering in a stable condition yesterday at the hospital.
The five passengers in the eastbound car, aged 6, 9, 11, 14 and 16, were the driver's children. They were all treated at the hospital and discharged.
Inquiries continue and any witnesses who have not already come forward are encouraged to call Constable Jah-Zico Douglas on the main police telephone number 295-0011.
