Teenager who wounded another fails to show up in court

Police are hunting a teenager who failed to appear in Supreme Court after pleading guilty to wounding.

Sherwin Hall, of Spring Benny Road, Sandys, had previously denied grievous bodily harm by stabbing 17-year-old Kyle Fraser near Traditions restaurant in Sandys on April 17 last year.

He has since pleaded guilty to the lesser charge of wounding.

Hall, now 19, didn’t show at a hearing into the matter on Wednesday, and Justice Patricia Dangor issued a warrant for his arrest.

Prosecutor Susan Mulligan told the court Hall already has one warrant outstanding after he failed to appear in Magistrates’ Court for a probation review on a youth matter.

Hall’s lawyer Mark Pettingill said he had been unsuccessful in his attempts to track the defendant, and apologised to the court.
