Tussle with police costs man $1,000

A Warwick man was fined $1,000 after tussling with police.Ajunte Tuzo admitted in Magistrates’ Court to obstructing a police officer and using offensive words outside a Bermuda College dance last weekend.The court heard that at 3.30am, officers on mobile patrol stopped two men engaged in a heated argument outside the college.Tuzo stepped between the officers, pulled one of them away from the other man, and said: “F***k you, what do you want? You police are stupid.”Senior Magistrate Archibald Warner fined Tuzo $500 on each count, to be paid within 30 days.
