Trial date set for teens accused of breaking student’s jaw

Four teenagers charged with inflicting grievous bodily harm on a fellow student will stand trial in Magistrates’ Court in April.Tijuan Swan, 16, Keanu Wilson, 17, Tishon Gordon, 17 and Kenneth Wade, 17, yesterday denied taking part in the November 6 beating of Raymond Crofton Jr.The defendants appeared before Senior Magistrate Archibald Warner, who set a trail date of April 4.The victim’s jaw was broken in four places during the lunchtime brawl at CedarBridge Academy.His father was present in court during yesterday’s hearing.All four defendants were released on $5,000 bail with one surety.A fifth defendant will be dealt with in juvenile court.
