A 46-year-old Devonshire man was formally charged in Magistrates’ Court with using his position of trust to touch a boy under the age of 12-years-old for sexual purposes.The incident is alleged to have occurred in Devonshire on January 19 and resulted in three charges being laid in Magistrates’ Court yesterday.Senior Magistrate Archibald Warner released the defendant on $6,000 with one surety.The defendant, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was also ordered not to associate with or be in contact with minors under the age of 16 and report to Hamilton Police Station every Monday.The case was set down for trial over a two-day period to start on May 22.
