Man charged with firearm possession

A Devonshire man has been charged in Magistrates’ Court with possessing a firearm.

Shauntonnai Talbot, 25, was yesterday charged with possessing a pistol sometime between an unknown date and March 28. He was not required to enter a plea, as the matter must be heard in the Supreme Court.

He was represented in court by lawyer Charles Richardson, while Takiyah Burgess represented the Crown.

Senior Magistrate Archibald Warner released the defendant on $20,000 bail with a like surety. The matter is expected to return to Magistrates’ Court today to be mentioned.
