Sandys man denies using threatening words

A 46-year-old Sandys man has denied threatening another man, plus a charge of unlawful assault.

Eldon Raynor, of Fairhaven Lane, pleaded not guilty in Magistrates’ Court to the March 18 charges against Ryan Smith.

He was accused of telling Mr Smith, “I will get my gun and blow you away, because I can only get 25 years”, and then assaulting him.

Both alleged offences occurred in Sandys.

Mr Raynor was bailed at $2,000 by Senior Magistrate Archibald Warner, and will face trial on August 27.
