A 23-year-old man appeared in court yesterday charged with the August 23 murder of Steven Jireh Iris.Tyrone Pedro of The Glebe Road, Devonshire, was not required to enter a plea at Magistrates’ Court as the case will go before the Supreme Court. Mr Pedro remained silent during the proceedings.He is accused of the fatal stabbing of Mr Iris outside a house on The Glebe Road. Mr Iris died at the hospital around 4.40pm on August 23.The incident allegedly took place around 9am that day.Senior Magistrate Archibald Warner remanded the defendant into custody. The case will appear for mention on September 6 in Magistrates’ Court.
