Southampton woman denies impaired driving

A Southampton woman denied driving while under the influence of a drug when she appeared in Magistrates’ Court this morning.

Belterre Swan, 55, of the Railway Trail, Southampton, was charged with driving a vehicle while her ability to drive was impaired by a drug and driving without due care and attention, or without reasonable consideration for others.

Ms Swan denied both charges, which are alleged to have taken place on Crow Lane in Pembroke on March 11.

Magistrate Khamisi Tokunbo granted $2,000 bail and set a trial date for July 7.
