A man has denied threating and assaulting a police officer.

Lorin Baxter is accused of swearing and assaulting the officer on June 17 in Pembroke as well as violently resisting arrest.

He pleaded not guilty to all three charges and will stand trial on August 7 at Magistrates’ Court.

Mr Baxter, 36, also denied disobeying a notice forbidding him from entering the Fairmont Southampton property and stealing three apple pastries. He will go on trial for those offences on August 27.

Mr Baxter was released on bail until he stands trial.
