Third strike means roads ban

A Warwick man is banned from the road for speeding

A serial speeder was today fined $400 and banned from the road for two months.

Magistrates’ Court heard Nasiah Joell — who has two previous speeding convictions — was clocked by police riding a motorbike at 78kph on Warwick’s Middle Road.

Magistrate Maxanne Anderson said that although Joell, 18, needed his transport to get to work, she “had to do something”.

The latest offence happened on Monday, Oct 30.

The court heard the Warwick man had 12 points on his licence from two previous speeding tickets.

Ms Anderson also added a further six points to Joell’s licence.
