A 27-year-old man appeared in Magistrates’ Court today charged with a 2011 shooting.

Khyri Smith Williams, of Sandys, was charged with the unlawful shooting of Tyrone Pedro with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

Mr Smith Williams was also charged with use of a firearm while committing an indictable offence.

He was not required to enter a plea as the case must be heard in Supreme Court.

Mr Smith Williams is set to appear for arraignment on June 1.
