Warwick man given 18-month roads ban

A 32-year-old man has admitted driving while more than double the legal alcohol limit.

Joshua Mayho, of Warwick, pleaded guilty to providing a breath sample above the legal limit.

Mayho was stopped by police on Middle Road at about 4.15am on May 27. Magistrates’ Court heard his eyes were glazed, his breath smelled of alcohol and he slurred his words.

Mayho told police it was his sister’s birthday and admitted: “I have had some drinks.”

Senior magistrate Juan Wolffe fined Mayho $1,200 and banned him from driving for 18 months.
