Man charged with importing $284,000 in drugs

A man has been charged with importing $284,000 worth of drugs.

Marvin Woolridge, 55, appeared at Magistrates’ Court yesterday charged with bringing cocaine, ecstasy and cannabis to Bermuda with intent to supply.

Mr Woolridge, from St George’s, was alleged to have been in possession of the drugs in the parish on February 4 last year.

He was not required to enter a plea because the case will be heard in the Supreme Court.

Senior magistrate Juan Wolffe adjourned the case until the Supreme Court sitting on March 1 and released Mr Woolridge on $50,000 bail.
