Bail granted for man charged with car arson

A man appeared in Magistrates’ Court yesterday charged with setting fire to two cars.

Justice Iris, 22, faced one charge of arson and two charges of wilful damage to the cars on June 28. He was not required to enter a plea because the case must be heard in Supreme Court.

Senior magistrate Juan Wolffe adjourned the case to Supreme Court on August 5.

He released Mr Iris on $5,000 bail and ordered him to have no contact with his alleged victims.
