Three plead not guilty to Heron Bay fight

Three men were charged in Magistrates’ Court yesterday in connection with a fight and stabbing outside the Heron Bay Plaza last Friday.

Seth Burt, 20, Lawrence Smith, 20, and Che Jennings, 20, all pleaded not guilty to taking part in a fight.

Mr Burt and Mr Smith also denied possession of a knife while in an increased penalty zone.

Senior magistrate Juan Wolffe released Mr Burt, from Pembroke, and Mr Jennings, from Paget, on $3,000 bail on the condition that they adhere to a 8pm to 6am curfew and visit the Hamilton Police Station three times a week.

Mr Smith, from Warwick, was remanded in custody.

Mr Wolffe adjourned the case until June 29.
