Sandys woman to face trial on gun charge
A woman charged with firearms related offences will go to the Supreme Court for trial, the Court of Appeal has ruled.
The case was dismissed by the Supreme Court last October, but the Court of Appeal overturned the decision in a judgment yesterday.
Tonae Perinchief-Leader, 30, from Sandys, has denied allegations that she handled a revolver, a shotgun and 485 rounds of ammunition of different calibres.
The offences were alleged to have happened in Sandys in July 2015.
The case will return to the Supreme Court for a trial date to be set.
