A man has appeared in court charged with attempted murder in connection with an alleged home invasion.

It was alleged in Magistrates’ Court that Pelealkhai Williams tried to kill Jakai Harford on December 12 at a house in St George’s.

Mr Williams, 32, also faces an alternative charge of an attempt to discharge a firearm at Mr Harford.

He was also charged with the use of a firearm to commit an indictable offence, possession of a firearm and possession of 16 rounds of ammunition.

Mr Williams, from Southampton, did not enter a plea on Tuesday as the case must be heard in the Supreme Court.

Magistrate Khamisi Tokunbo adjourned the case until February 1 and remanded Mr Williams in custody.
