Man denies drugs, ammunition charges

A man yesterday denied a string of drugs and ammunition charges.

Edward Albuoy, 27, pleaded not guilty in Magistrates’ Court to possession of cocaine, heroin, MDMA and THC with intent to supply.

He also pleaded not guilty yesterday to possession of a scale for the preparation of a controlled drug and possession of 20 rounds of .38 calibre ammunition.

The incident is alleged to have happened on November 1, 2019 in Southampton.

The court heard that the drugs alleged to have been found had a total street value of $2,230.

Senior magistrate Juan Wolffe adjourned the case until February 15 and released Mr Albuoy, from Southampton, on $5,000 bail.
