Man denies indecent exposure charge

Magistrates’ Court (File photograph)

A 39-year-old man yesterday denied an allegation that he exposed himself to a teenage girl.

The man, from St George’s, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, pleaded not guilty to a charge of intruding on the privacy of a child in a manner likely to cause alarm.

It is alleged the man exposed himself to a 16-year-old girl on Wednesday.

Senior magistrate Juan Wolffe released the defendant on $5,000 bail and adjourned the case until February 22.

He was also ordered to report twice a week to Hamilton Police Station, avoid all contact with the teenager and wear an electronic monitoring device when one is available.
