A woman was yesterday charged with a double murder at a Hamilton city bar and restaurant.

Quiana Butterfield, 25, appeared in Magistrates’ Court accused of the killing of Ayinde Eve, 27, and Micah Davis, 22 at the Robin Hood on Richmond Road.

She was also charged with the attempted murders of Derrick Golding, a police sergeant, and Troy Eve Burgess.

Ms Butterfield, from St George’s, was not required to enter a plea because the case must be heard in the Supreme Court.

Magistrate Maxanne Anderson heard that others were believed to have been involved in the alleged incident, said in court to have happened on October 26 in Pembroke, but they had not yet come before the court.

Ms Anderson remanded Ms Butterfield in custody and adjourned the case until December 1.
