Man remanded in custody on attempted robbery charge

A man was remanded in custody after he was accused of attempted armed robbery.

Tyneko Trott, 36, from Devonshire, was charged in Magistrates’ Court with wounding Arthur Dill, the owner of Jor-Jay’s Takeout.

He was also charged with attempting to rob Mr Dill and possession of a knife.

The incident was alleged to have happened on December 29 last year on Front Street, Hamilton.

Mr Trott did not enter a plea as the case must be heard in the Supreme Court.

Senior magistrate Juan Wolffe adjourned the case until the next Supreme Court arraignments session on February 1.
