Woman fined for breaching curfew

Magistrates' Court

A woman who breached coronavirus regulations more than two years ago was fined $300 in Magistrates’ Court this week.

Dianne Ramsay, 76, from St George’s, admitted being away from her home after curfew hours on Boxing Day 2020.

The court heard that Ramsay was out after midnight when the curfew at the time was 11pm.

Magistrate Craig Attridge told Ramsay that if she paid the fine and stayed out of trouble for six months, the offence would not be on her record.
