Man, 31, denies charge of intruding on a woman’s privacy

A Hamilton Parish man denied intruding on a woman’s privacy when he appeared in Magistrates’ Court last week.

The 31-year-old, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, also pleaded not guilty to sexually assaulting the same woman and chose to keep his case in Magistrates’ Court.

Both offences are alleged to have occurred in January.

Senior magistrate Maxanne Anderson adjourned the matter to June 14 and released the man on $5,000 bail with a like surety.

The man was also ordered not to contact the alleged complainant.
