Man, 72, charged with causing grievous bodily harm by driving

A Devonshire man has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm to a motorcyclist by driving his car without due care and attention.

Sinclair Simmons, 72, denied the charge when he appeared in Magistrates’ Court yesterday.

The collision, in which Lavon Seymour was the alleged victim, reportedly occurred on August 18, 2022, on Marsh Folly Road.

Magistrate Craig Attridge adjourned the case to October 23 and released Mr Simmons on $5,000 bail until that time.
