Man charged with firearm and ammunition possession

Magistrates’ Court

A man accused of having a firearm and ammunition was remanded in custody this morning.

Jahni Holder, 29, was charged in Magistrates’ Court with possession of a Smith & Wesson handgun and 12 9mm rounds of ammunition without a licence.

He was arrested in an incident on Monday.

Mr Holder was not required to enter a plea as the matter must be heard in the Supreme Court.

Senior Magistrate Maxanne Anderson sent the case to the next Supreme Court arraignment session in April.

She remanded Mr Holder, from Pembroke, in custody until his April 1 appearance.
