A footballer will be sentenced in June for stealing thousands of dollars worth of cigarettes and alcohol from his employer.

Kadeem Abraham, 36, pleaded guilty in Magistrates’ Court to concealing and falsifying account records to receive $45,876.35 worth of cigarettes and alcohol from Warwick Gas station.

He also pleaded guilty to stealing $48,492.50 of cigarettes, alcohol and food from the business.

The incidents happened between January 1, 2023 and October 15, 2023.

Abraham, from Warwick, was charged with the offences last June.

He initially admitted the offences, but changed his plea to not guilty last January, all before switching his plea yet again this morning.

Magistrate Maria Sofianos ordered Abraham to undergo a social inquiry report and adjourned his case until June 18 for sentencing. She extended his $25,000 bail.

Abraham is a right midfielder for PHC Zebras and has played for the Pembroke club since 2014.
