Man pleads guilty to sexual offence involving child
A man who admitted sexually assaulting a child will be sentenced in Magistrates’ Court in August.
Tyrone Butterfield, 22, pleaded guilty to committing the offence in March 2025 in Pembroke.
On Tuesday, the defendant, from Pembroke, also pleaded guilty to intruding on the privacy of a child in a manner likely to alarm or offend. That incident occurred on April 2, 2024.
The court heard that the offence took place in a Pembroke park, where Butterfield was voluntarily living while off his medication.
Magistrate Craig Attridge adjourned the matters for sentencing until August 20 and ordered the defendant to adhere to bail conditions.
